On This Day In Club Penguin History – November 24

There’s been many updates on the 24th of November. Updates have occurred in 2006, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014! Let’s get started, shall we?

In 2006 there were three updates. Several weeks prior to the 24th the Issue 56 of the Club Penguin Times newspaper had a poll where you could vote for what new penguin colour you wanted. There were two choices: Lime Green or Lavender. Lime Green won, so a special members only party was held at the Dojo, a room which at the time was hidden on the map and looked a whole lot different than how it does today. Members could get the new lime green colour from a bucket in the Dojo during the event, then several days later all players could purchase it in the upcoming December 2006 Penguin Style. Members could also pick up a free Lime Green Cape. This party inspired the Lime Green Dojo Clean Paint By Letters book, which is no longer available to play in Club Penguin’s Book Room.

In 2006 there was also a new pin hidden, the Life Ring pin. It was hidden at the Lighthouse and is Club Penguin’s 19th pin overall. This was the first pin to be hidden in that room.

Finally, as of November 24, 2006 you could now bathe your puffle.

That wraps up 2006, so let’s move on to 2009! That year the Card-Jitsu Fire game was released. Back then only members could play it. At the time stamps were not a thing on Club Penguin (they were added to the game in 2010) so you could only play the game for the Fire Ninja items.

In 2011 the first ever Card-Jitsu Party began. Along with the party was the new stage play, titled Battle of the Ancient Shadows. This play was at the Stage a total of four times. During the Card-Jitsu Party the member restrictions on Card-Jitsu Fire and Card-Jitsu Water were temporarily lifted so everyone could join in on the fun. Later in time the member restriction was permanently lifted, so now all players can become fire and water ninjas, member or not. The left side of the island was decorated for fire and the right side of the island was decorated for water. All players could collect the Fire and Water Headbands and members could collect the Fire and Water Training Plates. Sensei was waddling around for this event.

In 2012 more orders for Operation Blackout were released and in 2013 you could now rescue brown puffles in the Puffle Chase game. In 2014 you could now participate in the fifth crab battle at the Pirate Party, the one at the Plaza.
