On This Day In Club Penguin History – March 14

On the 14th of March there were a few updates in 2008. In 2008 the St. Patrick’s Day Party began, there was a new pin, Space Adventure returning to the Stage, and the 2005/2006 yearbook was released. In 2013 the rainbow puffle was spotted on the island, the furniture catalogue was updated, the Snow & Sports catalogue was updated, the igloo music was updated, the soccer pitch returned at the Stadium, and a new logoff screen was added.

The 2008 St. Patrick’s Day Party was Club Penguin’s third one. This year Club Penguin did something new and made the island a St. Patrick’s Day parade. The free item was the Gigantic St. Patrick’s Day Hat, which could be picked up at the Ski Village.

Another update in 2008 was a new pin being hidden. The Book Pin was hidden in the Boiler Room. This pin is Club Penguin’s 56th pin and was the third pin to be hidden in that room. Also in 2008, Space Adventure was released at the Stage for a second time. It has not been seen at the Stage ever since. The final update in 2008 was the 2005/2006 yearbook being released in the Book Room. It could be found on the bookshelf.

On this day in 2013, rainbow puffles were spotted on Club Penguin. They appeared at the Dock, Forest, and Ski Village. A logoff screen was added announcing that beginning March 21st, members could earn the Puffle Expert Outfit and adopt the the rainbow puffle.

Also in 2013, both the furniture and sports catalogues were updated. The furniture catalogue contained some assorted items, a few being puffle related. Some of the new furniture items were the Arcade Game for 350 coins, Skating Rink for 400 coins, and Rainbow Bridge for 400 coins.

On the other hand, the sports catalogue offered no new items, as it was all returns. The main theme of the “new” items in that catalogue was soccer, better known as football in some countries. This was the only sports catalogue of 2013. Along with the new furniture Club Penguin updated their igloo music, returning the Puffle Dance, Puffle Ragtime, and O’Berry Jazz tracks. Along with the updated sports catalogue Club Penguin brought back the soccer pitch to the Stadium.

  1. Before this year’s Puffle Party begins, players will discover PH has rebuilt the Ski Lodge as a new Puffle Lodge! In the lodge there is a large fishcake that is being saved to eat during the Puffle Party. When the party starts, PH announces that someone, or something, has broken in and eaten the fishcake… but who… or what? Players must first become Puffle Guides before they head out into the wild. Once there, they will be able to access rooms with food, that summon and coax out new and different wild puffles. As they draw the puffles out, players realize that the Sasquatch is hungry.
