On This Day In Club Penguin History – March 22

On the 22nd of March there were several updates in 2012 and one in 2014. The 2012 updates were a new login screen, updated postcard selection, a new field op mission, and a new pin being hidden on the island. In 2014 there was a new task at the Muppets World Tour.

The first update that happened in 2012 was noticed by players when they logged in. There was a brand new login screen advertising that year’s upcoming April Fools Day Party, which was going to begin on March 29th and end on April 3rd.

The featured postcards selection was also updated. The Quest for the Golden Puffle, Puffle Performance, and Happy Puffles postcards returned.

There was also the 74th field op mission now being available, located at the Hidden Lake. The mini-game at the end was to power up the chipset by guiding the micro battery. The orders from G for this mission were:

Dot has a plan. We are going to plant some EPF technology out the open, and see if Herbert steals it. There’s a broken Aqua Grabber somewhere Underground. Find it and power up its computer core. Let’s see if it goes missing.

The final update in 2012 was a new pin being hidden. The Cake Pin was hidden at the Book Room. It is Club Penguin’s 199th pin overall and is the eleventh pin to be hidden in that room.

The 2014 update was a new task at the Muppets World Tour. Players had to go to the Snow Forts, which was decorated as Spain, and meet with Gonzo. His task required you to run with bulls. At the start of the task you would get the Bull Cape if you were a member. After completing the task all players could collect the Sombrero Cordobés.
