On the 16th of February Club Penguin has updated in three different years. They are 2007, 2012, and 2013.
In 2007 there were three updates. There was a new pin, a new furniture catalogue, and also a new igloo catalogue, as back then the two catalogues were separate. The new pin was the Ice Cube Pin. It could be found at the Iceberg. The Ice Cube Pin is Club Penguin’s 26th pin overall and is the first pin have been hidden at the Iceberg. As for the new edition of the furniture catalogue, it contained some medieval themed items such as the Knight Ice Sculpture and Wall Torch. The igloo catalogue, on the other hand, featured the all new Ice Castle Igloo. When it was first released it cost 5,100 coins, a price that has since been reduced to only 2,400.
As for 2012, many updates occurred that year. The most minor updates on this day in 2012 were a new field op mission, the featured postcards selection being updated, and a new login screen. The three major updates were Rockhopper arriving and new editions of the furniture and igloo catalogues.
The field op mission released on this day in 2012 was Club Penguin’s 69th one. It was located at the Recycling Center next to the computer. The minigame to complete the field op was the one where you use your arrow keys to bypass the system.
As for the postcard catalogue update, the featured postcards page now listed three postcards. They were “Let’s Explore!”, “Rockhopper”, and “Actors Needed”. The final minor update, as aforementioned, was a new login screen. It was one advertising Rockhopper’s Quest, that month’s event.
Speaking of Rockhopper’s Quest, on this day in 2012 he arrived at the island to prepare for his quest. Since he was busy preparing you couldn’t board The Migrator. You could, however, play Treasure Hunt at the Beach.
The furniture catalogue released on this day in 2012 featured both fashion items and also some furniture relating to Rockhopper’s Quest. The igloo catalogue contained the Shipwreck Igloo.
The final year to have updates on the 16th of February is 2013. There was one update. The second stage at the Hollywood Party, Studio B, was now open. The set was a high-speed getaway. By participating in a few movie scenes all players could obtain the Action Scene Background and members could also collect the Stuntman and Stuntwoman Suits. Both items have a special dance action when worn.
