On This Day In Club Penguin History – November 13

On the 13th of November Club Penguin has updated in 2009 and 2014. In 2009 a new stage play was released, the featured postcards were updated, and work on the volcano room began. In 2014 there was a new furniture and igloo catalogue, new igloo music, a new pin, and the Migrator was spotted in the telescope – held hostage by crabs! In the real world the 37th issue of Club Penguin’s magazine was now available in stores.

The first update in 2009 was a brand new stage play, Norman Swarm Has Been Transformed. This play appeared at the stage only one other time. Right before you enter the stage from the Plaza your penguin would get zapped and shrink in size for the play. It was a lot of fun and even had a secret room containing a special pin.

Speaking of the play, Club Penguin updated the featured postcards. They added the new Norman Swarm postcard and featured postcards for Hide and Seek as well as Mancala.

The final update in 2009 was construction on the volcano room beginning in preparation of Card-Jitsu Fire. It required hot sauce – lots and lots of hot sauce.

The other year to have updates on the 13th of November is 2014. The first update was a new furniture & igloo catalogue. It contained the all-new Undersea igloo location and furniture items relating to Puffle Wild and creating an epic pirate ship. Club Penguin also updated their igloo music with pirate themed tracks such as Pirate of Club Penguin, Cream Soda Shanty, and Island Adventures.

The next update in 2014 was a new pin, the Wooden Sword. It was hidden at the Pizza Parlour. This pin is Club Penguin’s 291st pin overall and is the eleventh pin to be hidden in that room.

The final in-game update has to do with Rockhopper’s ship The Migrator. If you went to the Lighthouse Beacon and looked through the telescope you would see his ship, however it was taken over by crabs! This was leading up to that month’s party, the Pirate Party.

Also on this day in 2014 the 37th issue of Club Penguin’s magazine was now available in stores in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. It was a holiday special, coming with a code that unlocks the Jolly Roger Hat and Santa Beard clothing items, Holiday Wreath furnitureitem, and an item of your choice from the treasure book.
