On This Day In Club Penguin History – October 23
On the 23rd of October Club Penguin has updated in 2009, 2012, and 2014. In 2009 a new pin was hidden on the island, in 2012 the 7th Anniversary Party began and a new yearbook was released, then in 2014 the Halloween Party began and Club Penguin’s 9th Anniversary Party kicked off.
In 2009 only one update occurred. A new pin was hidden on the island. The 4th Year Anniversary Cake Pin was released a day before the 4th Year Anniversary Party. It was located on the crates next to the boiler in the Boiler Room. This pin is Club Penguin’s 104th pin overall and is the eighth pin to be hidden in that room.
2012 is another year with updates on this day. That year the 7th Anniversary Party began and along with that came a new yearbook. The party hat’s colours were blue and yellow.
The final year with updates on the 23rd of October is 2014. That year both the 9th Anniversary Party and the Halloween Party were launched side by side. The 2013-2014 yearbook was released alongside the anniversary party, too.
The party hat to celebrate 9 years of Club Penguin was red and purple. The Coffee Shop was decorated with streamers of the same colour and had a big cake shaped as the number 9. The new yearbook featured highlights from each month throughout the past year.
Finally there was the Halloween Party. The plot of 2014’s Halloween Party was the haunted Puffle Hotel. Gariwald, Gary’s Great Uncle, went missing while looking into paranormal activity in the area. The hotel was filled with different puzzles you needed to figure out in order to solve the mystery. This party is when ghost puffles were first introduced.
