On This Day In Club Penguin History – June 5

On this day in Club Penguin history there’s been updates in 2009, 2013, and 2014. In 2009 there was a new pin and a new clothing catalogue. In 2013 and 2014 there were many updates, such as a new clothing catalogue for the month and the stage play being updated.

The pin that was released on this day in 2009 was the Safari Hat Pin. It is Club Penguin’s 91st pin and the fourth pin to be hidden at the Book Room, or the fifth if you count Rockhopper’s Key that is hidden in his journal. On the other hand, the June 2009 Penguin Style featured three new pages of summer styles.

Jumping ahead some years, the June 2013 Penguin Style featured new university inspired styles. Also, Club Penguin’s mobile app, which was only available for iPad at the time, was updated to version 1.1. The update added Card-Jitsu Snow, the final Pufflescape and Puffle Rescue levels, and the app was also translated to Portuguese, German, French, and Spanish. The app icon was also updated to feature a ninja mask on the penguin.

Also on this day in 2013, Underwater Adventure was at the Stage for a fourth time and the featured postcards were updated. Finally, Club Penguin added two Monsters University logins screens to promote that month’s party, the Monsters University Takeover.

The final year with updates on the 5th of June is 2014. There was a new penguin style featuring sporty, prom, and casual business wear styles.

That’s not the only catalogue update in 2014. The sports catalog was updated. It contained soccer (football for some) items, cheerleader items, football items, and more. Club Penguin brought back the Soccer Pitch at the Stadium to go along with this update.

Club Penguin also updated the Stage in 2014. Fairy Fables returned for its eighth and final showing. This was the first time Club Penguin made it so the costume trunk catalogue contained items from every play.

The final few updates in 2014 were minor. The featured postcards were updated with ones such as Go Blue! and Fairy Fables, and a login and logoff screen advertising that month’s event, the Penguin Cup, were added. They read “Score for your team. Penguin Cup June 19 – July 1”.
