On This Day In Club Penguin History – November 24

There have been many updates on the 24th of November. There’s been updates in 2006, 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2013! Let’s get started, shall we?In 2006 there were three updates. Several weeks prior to the 24th the Club Penguin Times newspaper had a poll where you could vote for what new penguin colour you wanted. There were two possible choices: Lime Green or Lavender. In the end Lime Green won, so a special members only party was held at the Dojo, which at the time was hidden on the map and looked a whole lot different than how it does today. Members could get the new lime green colour a few days early before it was released to all players in the December 2006 Penguin Style. Members could also pick up a free Lime Green Cape. This party inspired the Lime Green Dojo Clean Paint By Letters book, which is no longer available to play in Club Penguin’s Book Room. In 2006 there was also a new pin hidden, the Life Ring pin. It was located at the Lighthouse and was Club Penguin’s 19th pin. Also, beginning November 24, 2006 you could bathe Puffles.

Skipping ahead three years to 2009, the Card-Jitsu Fire game was released for members. At the time stamps were not a thing on Club Penguin (they were added in 2010) so you could only play the game for the items to become a Fire Ninja.

In 2011 the Card-Jitsu Party was released. Along with the party was the new stage play, titled Battle of the Ancient Shadows. During this party the member restriction on Card-Jitsu Fire and Card-Jitsu Water was temporarily lifted so they could join in on the fun. To date, this is the only members-only game that Club Penguin has given nonmembers full unrestricted access for a limited time.

As for November 24, 2012 and November 24, 2013 there were single updates each year: more orders for Operation Blackout in 2012 and more orders for Operation Puffle in 2013.
