On This Day In Club Penguin History – November 30

By / December 1, 2015

On the 30th of November Club Penguin has updated in 2006, 2007, and 2013. In 2006 Rockhopper was spotted in the telescope, in 2007 yellow puffles could now be adopted, and in 2013 the final Operation Puffle task unlocked.

In 2006 Rockhopper’s ship was spotted in the telescope at the Lighthouse Beacon, as the pirate was on his way to the Club Penguin island for another visit. His upcoming second visit would be when he introduced red puffles to the island.

A year later, in 2007, there were two updates. The yellow puffle could now be adopted by members. This was the first new puffle of 2007, as Club Penguin hadn’t released any new breed of puffle since the red puffle in December 2006. Thanks to the release of the yellow puffle there were now seven different colours of puffles you could adopt – blue, pink, green, black, purple, red, and of course yellow. Blue and red puffles were the only ones nonmembers could adopt, plus back then they cost 800 coins each instead of 400 like they do now! (or in some cases, free!)

Along with the yellow puffle being released the Pet Furniture catalogue was updated with some new furniture for your pets.

The final year with updates on the 30th of November is 2013. Penguins could now rescue the purple puffle in Operation Puffle by chasing them down in the special Puffle Chase game. Once done with the task members could collect the Survival Snorkel and Rescue Diver Suit items. Now that all the puffle colours were caught in the Puffle Chase game you could go to Herbert’s lair and disable the mind controlling antennae he had set up, putting a stop to Herbert’s plans As a reward for their secret agent duties, players received 5,000 coins and the Puffle Freedom Statue furniture item. This marked the end of Operation Puffle.
