On the 29th of October Club Penguin has updated in 2008, 2010, 2011, and 2014. In 2008 and 2010 the Halloween Parties for those years began, in 2011 the Beta Team page on Club Penguin’s website received its final update before it was later taken down for good, and in 2014 more items were available at the Halloween Party.
2008’s Halloween Party was pretty similar to the 2007 Halloween Party, as a lot of decorations were reused. However, there was some new stuff, too. The prize for the scavenger hunt was the Giant Pumpkin Background. All players could also pick up the Pumpkin Basket at the Snow Forts and, if you were a member, the Lantern at the Secret Laboratory Room. Night of the Living Sled 2 made its first appearance at this party. Gary waddling around the island during the party.
The 2010 Halloween Party is Club Penguin’s 6th one. Once again there was a scavenger hunt. You had to find eight pieces of candy around the island in exchange for a prize, the Candy Forest Path Background. All players could also collect the Purple Bat Wings at the Plaza. Members could access the Haunted House and Dark Chamber rooms.The Storm Lantern, a clothing item, and the Pile O’ Candy, a furniture item, could both be picked up in the Dark Chamber Room. The Ghost Costume could be collected at the Haunted House. Gary waddled around the island at this party and those who met him could obtain the new background he was giving out.
The update on this day in 2011 wasn’t an in-game update, but rather an update on a part of their website. Back in 2011 Club Penguin launched the Beta Team, a special page where players could test prototypes Club Penguin made and give them feedback on it. On this day in 2011 Club Penguin gave the beta team its final update. They added “Goalie”, “Icebergs”, and “Puffle Bowling” to it and removed “Yum Yum Yuck Yuck” and” New Player Card Penguin Idea”.
The final update on the 29th of October was in 2014. The fourth suitcase of ghost luggage was now available. All players could obtain the Creepy Candle and members could collect the Spectral Costume.
