On This Day In Club Penguin History – September 6

Updates on the 6th of September have only taken place in 2012. There was a lot of updates. There was a new edition of the Penguin Style, a new pin, a new field op, the play at the Stage was updated, and more!

The biggest update on this day in 2012 was the Penguin Style being updated for the month with new Fair themed items, as the Fair was September’s big event.

Another update in 2012 was a new pin being released. The new pin was the Windmill Pin and could be found at the Dock. This pin is Club Penguin’s 218th pin overall and the tenth pin to be hidden at the Dock.

The play at the Stage was also updated to Space Adventure: Planet Y. This was the play’s third showing. There was also a new field op, the 98th one. For the newer penguins who are unfamiliar with field ops, each week Club Penguin would have orders we receive from Gary at the EPF Command Room. We’d then have to figure out the room G was referring to, find the exact location in that room we need to be at, and once we did, our spy phone would ring and we’d play one of the mini-games that are now found in the Spy Drills game. If you completed the game you would receive an EPF medal to use towards purchasing spy gear. The location of the 98th field op was at the Lighthouse Beacon next to the telescope and the game was to destroy the targets.

The final three updates in 2012 were minor. There featured postcards selection was updated, Rockhopper left the island, and new login and logoff screens were released.
