On This Day In Club Penguin History – April 10

On the 10th of April Club Penguin has updated in 2009 and 2014. The biggest update in 2009 was the Easter Egg Hunt. The other updates that year were a new pin and Quest for the Golden Puffle returning to the Stage. As for 2014, there was a new furniture and igloo catalogue, the igloo music was updated, and Rockhopper arrived for a visit.

The 2009 Easter Egg Hunt was Club Penguin’s fourth one. The egg’s locations were as follows:

  1. Dance Club
  2. Cove
  3. Mine
  4. Dojo Courtyard
  5. Gift Shop
  6. Ski Lodge
  7. Ski Hill
  8. Lighthouse Beacon

The prize for finding all eight eggs was the Pink Bunny Ears, an item first released at the 2006 Easter Egg Hunt. To go along with the Egg Hunt Club Penguin sent all players a postcard letting them know about it. Club Penguin sending a postcard to everyone that advertised a party or big event was common in 2008 and 2009.

The new pin was the Chocolate Bunny pin. It was located in the bottom left of the Forest room on the rock. It is Club Penguin’s 87th pin and was the fifth pin to be hidden at the Forest.

The final update in 2009 was the Quest for the Golden Puffle play being released at the Stage for a third time. Its previous showing was in December 2008. It was added to the Stage because it won the 2009 Penguin Play Awards.

Moving ahead five years to 2014, that year there were two updates. The April 2014 Furniture & Igloo Catalogue was released. In it was the all new Puffle Tree House Igloo. The new furniture was puffle tubes. Club Penguin also updated the igloo music for the month.

The final update in 2014 was Rockhopper arriving for another visit. His free item for all players was the Pufflescape Ball Cap. Members could purchase the Orange Tabby Costume and Blue Border Collie Costume for 300 coins each. They could also buy Pufflescape Ball for 250 items. This item, when worn, has a special dance where you roll around in it.

  1. Too bad I wasn’t there for the 2009 updates because I wasn’t signed up for Club Penguin yet and I didnt have a computer in 2014 to really play so often. :(
