On This Day In Club Penguin History – March 28

On the 28th of March there were updates in 2008, 2011, 2013, and 2014. In 2008 the April Fool’s Day Party began and a new pin was hidden. In 2011 there was a new field op, a new stamp, the Dance Lounge got redesigned into the arcade, and the Bits & Bolts game was released. In 2013 there was a new login and logoff screen and in 2014 the Muppets were performing at the Muppet Theater.

In 2008 that year’s April Fool’s Day Party began The 2008 April Fools Day Party, in my opinion, is one of the most creative and fun parties Club Penguin has ever done. For April Fools Day, the Club Penguin Team made each room look completely different. From being upside down to being drawn with crayons, they did it all. Thin Ice and Astro Barrier were combined into one game for the party, too. It was called Thinicetrobarrier. In the Club Penguin Improvement Project servers, penguins were turned into Puffles! The other update was a new pin, the Crayon Pin. it was located at the Mine Shack. To earn it during the party, there was a catch though. You had to connect all 50 dots. The Crayon Pin is Club Penguin’s 57th pin and was the third pin to be hidden in that room. I recommend you go to the links under the post to check out all the epic rooms yourself.

Skipping ahead three years, in 2011 there were several updates. For starters, Club Penguin’s 34th field op mission was released. The area you had to go to was the Cave/Pool in front of the windows. The task was to crack the code by finding the correct symbol combination. Another update in 2011 was Rookie’s stamp being released, since he was waddling around on Club Penguin for the first time ever. Also in 2011 the Dance Lounge was redesigned into an arcade and along with that the Bits & Bolts game was released. Supposedly one day the game will gain stamps you can unlock, however it seems Club Penguin has scrapped that idea.

In 2013 there was one minor update. A login and logoff screen teasing a new EPF mission beginning on April 5th as well as the new spy phone was released. The mission is known as Operation Hot Sauce, or for non-agents, it was referred to as Fun at the Cove.

In 2014 the Muppets were now performing at the Muppet Theater. If you went to the Stage Kermit would talk to you and give you the Muppets World Tour background.

    • Yes and no.

I ditched Piczo and made this site, although the Piczo site still existed for some time (defunct) before Piczo shut down. I think I had set it up to just redirect to here after a few seconds.

      • Yeah I remember that, but here’s what I was talking about:

Your Piczo site was still all updated and up and running and you posted the latest cheats/updates on the homepage as a blog. I could have sworn I remember that you would copy and paste the posts onto a WordPress site that you already created. This was like in early 2010.

Or my memory could just serve me incorrectly.

  1. The April Fools’ Party 2008 is not one of the most creative parties they’ve ever had. It is THE most creative party they’ve ever had. Not only that, but it’s probably pretty high on the list of Club Penguin’s best parties ever, along with both Water Parties and the Festival of Flight. It was just ingenious. :P
