On This Day In Club Penguin History – January 12

All of the updates on the 12th of January in Club Penguin History occurred in 2012. There would have been some in 2007 on this day, but besides a newspaper there were no updates that week on Club Penguin! In 2012 there were four updates.

The first update was when you went to log in to Club Penguin. There was a new login screen advertising that month’s party/event, the Underwater Expedition, which was held by Rookie.

There was also a new pin hidden. It was the Conch Shell Pin and you could pick it up from the Iceberg. This was Club Penguin’s eighth pin to be hidden at the Iceberg and the 193rd pin overall.

Another update was The Twelfth Fish stage play being re-released. The set was the same but the script was completely rewritten by Rookie. The final update was the 64th field op mission. It was located the Recycling Centre. To complete it you had to power the chipset by guiding the micro battery.

  1. I remember this, this was the first event I met Rookie. I can’t believe CP ruined my fun. It feels like there’s nothing to do but meet mascots and play games rather than roleplay and talk with other penguins.
