On This Day In Club Penguin History – November 17

There have been updates on the 17th of November in 2006, 2008, and 2011. In 2006 there was a new furniture catalogue, the Dojo had its grand re-opening in 2008, and finally in 2011 there was a new field op, a new pin, preparations for the Card-Jitsu Party, and a Puffle Launch for iOS related updated.

In 2006 there was a new furniture catalogue. Unfortunately I don’t recall what the new furniture was since it was so long ago and this is the only image I have of it:

Moving on to 2008, the big update that year was the grand re-opening of the Dojo. Digging snow out of the Dojo Courtyard ended and you could now see the full new room. Penguins could now become ninjas for the first time. In fact, Club Penguin broke some records in amount of penguins online when Card-Jitsu was released. Penguins can play Card-Jitsu until they earn their Black Belt and then beat Sensei to gain the Ninja Mask. The Dojo Hideout was also released on this day, although this room no longer exists.

On to 2011! In 2011 there was a new field op as well as several other updates. The field op was the 55th one. The location of this one was at the bottom right corner of the Cove, in the water next to the Catchin’ Waves Game Upgrades Catalogue. The mini-game to complete the field op was matching symbols before time ran out. Other updates on the 17th of November in 2011 includes construction for the upcoming Card-Jitsu Party that was happening the following week and the Blue Fish Pin being released. The pin was located on the left side of the Snow Forts. It is also worth noting that a lite (free) version of Puffle Launch for iOS was released on the iTunes Store. Also, the paid version of Puffle Launch was updated to version 1.1 and featured bug fixes and also new levels. This app is no longer available on the app store.
