On This Day In Club Penguin History – December 14

Note: This was first posted a year ago but has since been rewritten.

Back on December 14, 2006 the 61st issue of the Club Penguin Times was released. Back then newspapers were released on Thursdays and updates were released on Fridays. In this issue if you picked one of the four ornaments for the Christmas Tree at the Plaza for the 2006 Christmas Party you’d get a Christmas Tree Pin.

In 2007 on this day in Club Penguin History there were four updates – it was the start of an igloo decorating contest, the first Coins For Change event launched, The Twelfth Fish was released at the Stage, and there was a new furniture catalog. The stage play was somewhat Shakespeare related and the furniture catalog contained some new holiday related items like usual. Coins For Change was released before the Christmas Party.

  1. I wish I was here to see the old newspaper everyone says they were so cool, and fom what I see they were. But I think you did say it takes about 100 hours to prepare each one so I guess they had a good reason to change to the short ones. I just wish the secrets were better they just don’t tell you much of anything. I know all the things they say,but oh well.
