On This Day In Club Penguin History – March 12

On the 12th of March Club Penguin has updated in 2010 and 2015. In 2010 there was a variety of updates and in 2015 a new furniture & igloo catalogue was released alongside some new igloo music and the Pi Day mini-event.

The first update on this day in 2010 was construction at the Mine beginning, as new rooms (the Mine Cave, Hidden Lake, and Underwater) were coming soon. A box, wood, a table, and a few other items were placed in the Mine to show that there was some construction taking place. The second update in 2010 was a new pin, the Buckle Boot Pin. The pin’s name has since changed to just the Boot Pin. This pin could be found at the Dance Lounge, a room that is now known as the Arcade. This pin is Club Penguin’s 116th pin overall and is the sixth pin to be hidden in that room.

The final two updates in 2010 were the igloo and furniture catalogues receiving an update for that month. The Green Clover Igloo was released, costing members 2,050 coins. The furniture catalogue, on the other hand, contained some St. Patrick’s Day themed items.

Just like in 2010, in 2015 Club Penguin also updated their furniture and igloo catalogue. This time around, however, the new items were puffle themed. The different coloured puffle tree house igloos were released for the first time ever, costing 1,000 coins each. There was also some new furniture items relating to puffles. The igloo music was updated alongside the catalogue changes, too.

The other update in 2015 was a mini event. March 14th, often written as 3/14, is known as Pi Day, since pi in mathematics is 3.14. The Mine Shack was decorated to celebrate, plus Rookie and Gary were visiting.
