On This Day In Club Penguin History – October 22

By / October 23, 2015

On the 22nd of October Club Penguin has had an in-game update in 2010 and a very important piece of news that was announced on this day in 2012. In 2010 a new pin hidden was hidden on the island, a new login screen was released, and a storm was forming in the sky. On this day in 2012 Happy77, one of the first people to work for Club Penguin, announced her departure from the game.

The first update in 2010 was the Bat Pin being hidden at the Cove. The Bat Pin is Club Penguin’s 138th pin overall and is the sixth pin to be hidden at the Cove.

There was also a new login screen advertising the Halloween Party. It featured three penguins, a dark forest background with cloudy skies, and text reading “Join the candy hunt. Beware the storm… Starting Oct. 29”. Another preparation for the 2010 Halloween Party that was also released on this day in 2010 was storm clouds forming in the binoculars at the Cove.

That’s all for 2010. In 2012 Happy77 said goodbye, posting the following on Club Penguin’s Blog:

Greetings Penguins!

Happy77 here. It’s almost Club Penguin’s anniversary. Hard to believe that Club Penguin is almost 7 years old already!

I’m writing this post to let you know that I’ll also be moving on from Club Penguin. I’ll be spending my time raising my children. Who knows? Maybe one day my kids will grow up to be bloggers, too. :)

I’ve had an amazing time here at Club Penguin. Like Billybob, you’re the reason I’ve done this for so long. Polo Field and Businesmoose have been helping me since I first started blogging in 2008, so I know you’re in good hands.

Thanks for being so supportive, and for the great memories.

And as always…

Waddle On! :)

I sent her a thank-you/goodbye email, and she responded a few days later!
