On This Day In Club Penguin History – August 29

By / August 29, 2015

On the 29th of August Club Penguin has updated in 2008 and 2013. In 2008 the month’s furniture catalogue was released and a new pin was hidden on the island. In 2013 version 1.2 of Club Penguin’s mobile app was released, Rockhopper was spotted in the telescope, and a new issue of Club Penguin’s Portuguese magazine was now for sale.

The August 2008 Furniture Catalogue contained some restaurant themed items. Some of the new items include the Pizza Oven, Corner Booth Seat, Straight Booth Seat, and Stainless Steel Stove. A few items returned too, such as the Barbecue and Coffee Couch.

The other update in 2009 was a new pin. Club Penguin hid their 69th pin, the 150th Newspaper Pin. It was hidden at the Boiler Room, the fifth pin to be hidden in that room.

The biggest update on this day in 2013 was version 1.2 of Club Penguin’s mobile app being released. Back then the app was called My Penguin instead of Club Penguin. Not only did this update overhaul and tweak a lot of things, but this update let you edit your igloo on the go, too! Another new feature was the new Jetpack Boost Game.

Sorry about the watermark, it’s an old image I’m reusing.

The next update in 2013 was Rockhopper being spotted in the telescope.

Finally, a new issue of Club Penguin’s Portuguese magazine was now available in stores.
