Club Penguin Blog: Safer Internet Day 2013

February 5th is Safer Internet Day around the world. With the worldwide event coming up, Daffodaily5 has posted about this and included a video on Club Penguin’s Blog. I do recommend you watch the video and read over the post as it conveys a very important message.

Hiya!

As I’m sure many of you already know, the 5th of February is Safer Internet Day! This is a special day that’s organised every year to help teach kids and parents around the world about how to stay safe online.

Seeing as safety’s our number one priority here at Club Penguin, this is an important day for us. Which is why we want to give you all a free laptop item for your penguin – just head over to the Unlock Items page and enter the code ‘STAY SAFE’.

The theme of this year’s Safer Internet Day is Connect with Respect. To explain more about what this means for you, we interviewed UK X Factor star, Ella Henderson. Check out the video below (keep an eye out for yours truly!)

So next time you’re online, think about how you can Connect with Respect and be a good buddy to your fellow penguins!

Waddle on!

  1. YAHOOOOOOOOOOO CP IS HAVING ANOTHER CP SUPER HERO PARTY :DDDDDDDD CHECK HIS TWITTER AND LOOK ON THE Yes HE TWEETED AND LOOK AT THE CONVERSATION WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (dances like noob)

  2. Um about that… There r some times that we dont remember that to stay safe we mustn’t give our information to another starngers. So in CP sometimes we tell when is our birthday or were do we live. Aren’t those private infos? But every1 is doing it… nvm. I think everybody should think about whats benefitial and what bad for them :/

    • I don’t think there is anything wrong with saying your birthday, as it’s not too private or personal. (unless you don’t want anyone to know, which is fine) Things like your last name, school, address, and phone number are definitely meant to be kept private online.

  3. Wow! I’ll be sure to help my friends on Feb. 5th! Thank you! P.S. can you please make a video about who the mascot is gonna be for the Hollywood Party? Bye!

    • Since they had a Marvel one last year, maybe this year they will make a DC Comics one! They have to make a deal first (I don’t think their buying anymore companies now so they have to make a deal).

  4. I’m starting to realize why it’s important to stay safe. I’ve told my phone number my few internet friends a year ago, one of them still terrorizes me.

I find it OK if you tell your name. I mean, first name NOT last name. Then it’s okay to tell when you’ve born, if not exact date then year and month :)

Really, stay safe and don’t do the same as I did.
