Here Are The Furniture Items The Igloo Contest Winners Received (updated with Club Penguin’s second and third response)

By / August 31, 2012

UPDATE: See below for the second reply from Club Penguin.

Back when Club Penguin had their April Fools Day Igloo Contest earlier this year, many asked me what prizes the winners received. So I emailed Club Penguin and posted what they were.

Once again I emailed Club Penguin to find out what the top three winners received, and here is their answer.

I’ve looked into it for you, and it looks like the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize winners from the Tropical Igloo contest got some really ice-cool items! The 1st place winner got some seashell chairs, puffle suns, islands and 1,000,000 coins! The 2nd place winner got some seashell chairs, Islands and 100,000 coins. While 3rd place received a seashell chair and 10,000 coins.

As for their second response when I emailed them back, I was told this:

Thanks for taking the time to write us back. I am so impressed with your attention to detail; you are right, we did say the winner wold get six items, and the runner up would get three. What we actually awarded was much better!

Our overall winner received nine items (3 of each) and coins! Our runner up can now decorate with four items (2 of each) and coins! Some of these items are incredibly rare on Club Penguin island, so we feel pretty confident they will enjoy them.

And finally:

I see that you found a discrepancy with the amount of coins that is awarded to the runner for the Tropical Igloo Decorating Contest. While it did say in the Club Penguin Times that the runner up would get 10,000 coins, we decided to change our minds. We wanted to give the 2nd place winner even more coins for all their hard work! So we upped the amount to 100,000 coins for 2nd place.

Well there you have it!

To win, all you need to do is put a couple noobish items and have little to no creativity. Then you’re all set and the rare items are yours (:

Shadow ninjas arent real, it was just the CP Team having fun with some concept art. I forget where I heard that but I remember seeing it on an email CP sent to a friend.

That’s it? The island items arent very rare they were released back in January/February I think! And the seashells were still here last year. But the puffle sun is rare because it came in January 2009. So glad I already have these.

The newspaper says 1st – 1,000,000… 2nd- 10,000 and 3rd- 1000. The email says the same for first place but for second, it says 100,000 and 3rd gets 1000. Hmm, I wonder if they had a typo in the newspaper.
