Club Penguin’s 2013 Monsters University Takeover is now here!
Table of Contents:
When you first log in you can join a fraternity or sorority. Don’t worry, you can switch teams! Each one comes with its own hat too.
The hats are free for everyone.
Once you pick a team close it.
For the actual Scares Games, go to the Snow Forts. Then go to the whole Stadium/University area.
Then go to the challenge room.
Pick which team you want to play for. The team’s points are shown. On July 6th we will find out the winning team!
The Scare Games are very fun. You simply need to use your arrow keys and space bar. In the top right corner is a robotic penguin you need to scare. The blue bar beneath it is the amount of time left before they wake up. Be quick or else you’ll run out of time! Use your right arrow to go forward, left arrow to go backward, up arrow to go up, and down arrow to go down. Avoid all obstacles such as boxes!
Once you reach the platform in front of the bed you need to hit the spacebar. Try to get it on green for the most scare points! Yellow is okay, and red is bad.
Hopefully you scare them!
As you advance further into the Scare Games more obstacles appear.
Once you run out of game lives it’ll show you how many points you have earned. These points can be used to obtain items. They also go towards the team’s total.
Each sorority or fraternity has their own special room. They’re between the Snow Forts and the Plaza.

The Scare Games points are used to get items. You can wear the items and press D to roar to scare penguins too! A majority of the items are members only, but there is an item each day for everyone.

Some party props are interactive! For example, go over to the telescope at the University!

It’s mostly fun, but the scaring roars are so loud that when you turn down the sound so your folks don’t get mad, you can’t hear the room music.
Yes, with the party special sound sometimes you get mad, but good party ¿How much penguins were baned unfair by the bug? I like the meter, is fine that the costumes are with scare points and no with money, is fine and easy the scare game, you can jump two times, I’m good in it :)
I don’t know an exact number but probably not a lot.
They fixed the loud roars.
Much better now, I can hear the music and Dad doesn’t yell.

Very fun party. I like how they added humor to the Scare Game.
I wish they made more free items for people. I at least thought Mike’s costume would be free.

Yup, I did. I had to go out for a little bit and it was released then.
Not a bad party, but I felt they could’ve done a little more with it. I do like the exclusive mini-game, though.
Yeah, I wish the whole island was decorated.
I wish you could get away from the scaring like you could at Halloween.
They even come in the igloos and scream at you unless you lock the door, and then NOBODY can come in.

My little cousins tried to go to deserted servers and still had monsters screeching at them.
They don’t want to go on the site until the party is over and I find that sad.
The little kids are the ones who will be staying on Club Penguin the longest and the ones who get their parents to spend money on Club Penguin items.

One thing I dont like is how we have to wait for certain costumes. In Marvel party, like 90% of the costumes were available from the start, Robo Hoodie being the only one you had to wait on (Might have been more…)
Its sad I have to wait till half of the length of the party to be gone just to scare with the Brock and Don Costumes (2 of my fave characters). :(
You had to wait for gloves too but those aren’t costumes. They do it so you keep logging on.
