Club Penguin Removes 12 Month Membership Option From Website

On the 9th of October Bwsamfay brought to my attention that Club Penguin removed 12 month memberships from their website. Sure enough, he was right. Going to the membership page now yields only 1 month, 3 month, and 6 month memberships.

Now, even though it says both 3 month and 6 months are $6.65 a month, that’s partially true. In fact, it’s actually (only slightly) cheaper to buy two 3-month memberships than it is to buy one six-month membership.

The 3 month membership costs $19.95. Multiply that by two so it becomes six months. $19.95*2 = $39.90, aka a whole five cents cheaper than the sixth month membership. Which means it’s ten cents cheaper to buy four 3-month memberships than it is to buy two 6-month memberships.

Or, y’know, you could always just buy a $59.95 membership from Amazon or at the store, while supplies last…also if you already pay for yearly auto-renewing membership that will also stay in effect.

  1. Oh no!
Our Gramma always buys us year gift memberships for our birthdays
She buys 5 of em – at $80 a year instead of $60 one of us won’t get one! that’s an extra $100!
