On This Day In Club Penguin History – September 5

By / September 5, 2015

On the 5th of September Club Penguin has updated in 2008 and 2013! In 2008 two catalogues were updated. In 2013 there was a lot of updates. Some of those updates include a new penguin style, a new pin, and the Cove room getting an all new look.

The first of those two catalogues updated in 2008 was the Penguin Style, which received its usual monthly update. The theme of the new items was back to school and fall fashion.

The second catalogue that got an update was the wig catalogue, which was later merged into the clothing catalogue. The wig catalogue update featured two new wigs, The Dizzy and The Tuft.

While 2008 had just two updates, 2013 had four times that. The biggest update that day was that month’s edition of the Penguin Style now being available. The theme of the new items was medieval. In the September 2013 Penguin Style there was a new feature that no previous catalogue had: all the buy item buttons now had a membership badge on them to designate that the item is for members only.

Another update in 2013 was a new pin, the Coconut Smoothie Pin, was hidden at the Hidden Lake. This pin is Club Penguin’s 254th pin overall and is the seventh pin to be hidden in that room.

Also in 2013 the Cove got an all new design, the one you currently see today.

The rest of the updates in 2013 were minor. There was a new login and logoff screen advertising the 2013 Medieval Party, the featured postcards were updated, and puffles now had a cloud above them while seeing if there was something in the ground they could dig up. That’s all for in-game stuff. On Club Penguin’s website you could now download the “Party In My Iggy” song for free and there was a new account activation page.
