On This Day In Club Penguin History – December 1

Note: This On This Day In Club Penguin History post was first published on Club Penguin Memories a year ago but has since been revised and modified.

In 2005, 2006, 2010, and most recently 2011 Club Penguin updated some things. In 2005, 2006, and 2011 it was a new clothing catalog, and in 2010 it was a new field op, which was located at the Cove. In 2011 in addition to the new clothing catalogue the 58th field op was released. it was located at the Cove. The Bonsai Tree Pin was also hidden in the Ski Lodge and Rockhopper was spotted in the telescope.

The December 2005 Clothing Catalog does not have much known about it other than it containing the Hockey Stick and possibly other items such as the Pink Toque, Black Toque, and Pink Scarf. A lot more is known about the December 2006 Clothing Catalog. In fact, even before the catalog was released it was known there would be an Elf Costume in it, as leaked by a penguin named JaMeS. (yes, the beta) In fact, items were hacked by both him and others before the catalog was released in the Gift Shop – more on that below, with original pictures I have saved.

Adding onto the items being hacked, this penguin had the Jester Hat before it was released – this image was taken at some point in November 2006.

This image was also taken of the penguin wearing a part of the Elf Costume before it was released.

Finally, here is the most popular image that was shared around the web – JaMeS showcasing his items. Since this is a history site, look at the old playercard stuff – original spy phone, only coins, and a different inventory system.

As I mentioned above, it wasn’t just the Elf Costume that was leaked – all these items were. Here is the screenshot of them. The medal was for mission 2, which was not yet released.
