On This Day In Club Penguin History – November 19
Updates on the 19th of November have occurred on one year so far. That year is 2010, which had several different updates ranging in importance. Starting with the newspaper, on November 19, 2010 the current newspaper design we have in game currently was released. This was starting with Issue 266, and since then we have seen just over 100 other newspaper issues with the new design. From issues 1 – 265 they all had this design, with an article on each page. (along with things such as puzzles)
Other updates included Space Adventure: Planet Y being released at the stage for a second time, the Water Pin being released, (for Card-Jitsu Water) and the postcards being updated.

I remember I would look forward to logging on Club Penguin every Thursday and reading the newspaper, reading the jokes, and solving the puzzles. Now…I just don’t care about reading the newspaper anymore. I hate the new design.
I remember when the PSA used to hide messages in the newspaper. That was fun. I miss playing Puffle-So-Cute-O (puffle version of Sudoku), that game was FUN. The newspaper gave 90% (not an exaggeration) more information than the current newspaper. Also the newspaper actually used to teach you about the history of CP sometimes!
Then CP had to change the newspaper just to work on parties and other stuff. Well guess what, some of actually LIKE catching up on the news.
I miss when the newspaper was ACTUALLY a newspaper like the one shown above. Now, it’s just one page, with nothing interesting featured in it. The times, the have changed…..
They had good reasons for changing it. The old newspaper design took over 100 hours to do per issue. The new design shortened that time so the Club Penguin Team could focus on better things.
I was just about to ask about why it was changed! Literally!
I’ve never even seen the old newspaper I have only been at cp for about seven months.but I have enjoyed every bit of it and I wish I came much,much earlier. I love the older clothes they don’t have has good graphics and that’s why I love them so much. I wish I could get the old items with out hacking them. Now days I buy everything there is to buy,I will sometimes scold myself for not purchasing much when I first started!

The old newspaper design was awesome! The puzzles were my favourite! Those were good times!
