New Theme!

I was so eager I couldn’t wait to release it – since yesterday afternoon I was hard at work on a new theme. I looked at your feedback (from one of the contest themes) and tried my best to incorporate a few minor things. You can see the result yourself. I had one other thing I wanted to include, Smashable Christmas Lights, but due to a bug that stopped all clickable links from working, I couldn’t keep it. Here’s what it looked like:

When you put your mouse over the lights, they break and make a flashing noise. The lights also break. If you’re curious as to how they look and operate, here’s where the code is from – you can see it in action here.

To improve the page loading time and make it easier if you’re looking for a certain post, it’ll show excerpts and the latest post (or pinned sticky post) at the tippy top. I was doing something similar with the “click to read more” but this is a  bit better in my opinion.

I also added the falling snow (temporary for a few weeks) and a holiday music playlist. (temporary for about another week) I meant to put the playlist in a week or two ago but never had the time. If there’s any music you want added, be sure to let me know and I’ll see if I can! :)

I also recoded the navbar with more efficient code. Internet Explorer users shouldn’t see a black box around is as long as their browser is up to date.

Finally, if you see any theme bugs please let me know! There are one, possibly two things I still need to finish up – the header image changing every time you refresh and I’m going to see if I can make the background image switch every time you refresh – I know I can, I just need to figure out where the code goes. It’d be temporary that the background does that, too.

I hope you like it as much as I do! If you have any suggestions, please let me know!

  1. I was thinking of a site like Monocho or ClubpenguinCP. I mostly want one like Monocho. Do you know how I can get his and edit it?

  2. The buttons to click on parties and other things are down the screen vertically and it makes it difficult to read the posts. Nelsonbob101
