On This Day In Club Penguin History – October 5
On October 5th there were two updates in 2007 and one in 2010. In 2007 a new edition of the Penguin Style was released and the costume contest began. In 2010 the Cart Surfer game gained stamps.
Both of 2007’s updates have to do with clothing. That month’s new Penguin Style catalogue was released and it contained Halloween themed items. Items such as the Bee Costume were all new, while other items such as the Clown Costume and Skeleton Suit were returning from 2006.
The second update on October 5, 2007 was the Halloween Costume Contest. Back in 2007 Club Penguin held two costume contests, one in August and one in October. It’s like an igloo contest but with your penguin’s outfit – and to submit your outfit you just waddled around wearing your costume and the moderators who patrolled the server would pick ones they liked and then a top few outfits were displayed in the newspaper once the contest was over.
That’s all for 2007. In 2010 there was one update. The stamps for Cart Surfer were released, allowing players to now unlock stamps for performing different combinations of tricks.
