Spike Hike Is Leaving Disney and Dropped a Mixtape The Biggest Project Super Secret Sneak Peek To Date

While I’m not done with my blogging hiatus quite yet (I plan on returning later this month!), this news is far too big to pass over. In an extremely unexpected blog post today, Spike Hike announced that he is leaving not just Club Penguin, but Disney as a whole. He did not specify why, other than to waddle on to his next adventure. Before leaving, though, he dropped a nearly two minute long sneak peek video of Project Super Secret.

Hey penguins,

The time has come for me to waddle on to my next adventure – and so I will be leaving Disney.

Getting to spend time with you all in Club Penguin has been one of the true joys of my life, and it has been for my family too, as all three of my kids have grown up with you in the Penguin community. I want to thank you all for so many special memories and especially thank the Penguin team for all their hard work and amazing creativity over the years!!

I couldn’t make this move if I didn’t feel you were in good hands and I have to say, the best is yet to come! Project: Super Secret looks amazing and should be ready for you to beta test in the next few months.

As proof, the team has given me one more sneak peek to share and here it is:

Of course, I couldn’t say goodbye without one more party and so Spike Hike will make a special farewell appearance tomorrow, Sept. 8 at 3:30pm Penguin Standard Time on the server Fog. If I don’t get the chance to see you Sept. 8, I’ll definitely be back for special events like the launch of Project: Super Secret and anniversaries!!

YOU are what makes Club Penguin so special! Thank you for letting me be a part of it!

Waddle On,

-Spike Hike

That’s a great sneak peek video, we finally have something concrete and length to see about Club Penguin. It reminds me of a video game such as Spongebob Squarepants: Battle For Bikini Bottom, where you have an open world you explore and complete objectives.

For those interested in attending Spike Hike’s goodbye meetup, it’s at 3:30 PM PST/6:30 PM EST/11:30 PM in the UK.

To Spike Hike: thanks for all the great memories, it’s been a pleasure to talk to you on multiple occasions. You’ve been nothing but kind to each and every one of us in the Club Penguin community, something that definitely has not gone unnoticed by us.

  1. Eh I was more heart broken when Lane Merrifield (Billy Bob) left. That’s just me though. I do wish him the best in life and that whatever his future has for him is for the best C:

  2. In my opinion, I think lane Merrifield should come once again to club penguin. He did a great job while he was and Spikehike honestly ruin club penguin with all the takeovers and no original parties.
P.S. I miss you trainman, it is good that you are blogging again :D

  3. I want the original staff to come back, ever since Spike Hike took over, he pretty much destroyed the game with his administration. Btw hey Trainman :)

  4. RIP Spike Hike. For some reason (by that, I mean I know exactly why), I don’t really feel sad that he’s leaving.

    Also, that mixtape was fire.
