Polo Field has revealed what the mysterious Puffle and stamps update is going to be! It’s called Puffle Digging. Here’s a video showing off what it is. The name is essentially what’s being done.

Puffles will be able to dig up coins on the island and starting next month members with Puffles will be able to dig up rare items…although he did not say what! His only hint was “There’s a classic pair of glasses up for grabs that only your puffles will be able to find…” Maybe the Red Sunglasses and Blue Sunglasses?

It’s finally happened – Club Penguin has their own official Facebook page for the game. Previously they’ve only had one just for Club Penguin Parents, but this one is aimed at all audiences. The URL is something easy to remember – Facebook.com/ClubPenguin. If you scroll down the page you’ll see they took advantage of the timeline feature giving notable highlights of how the game to be, for example when Dave Krysko, one of Club Penguin’s founders, started a small production company in Kelowna, Canada. It was known as New Horizon Interactive. (By the way, Dave is not Gizmo like many believe)

Now, it’s cool that Club Penguin now has a regular Facebook page like on Twitter, however there’s one thing I’m not too fond of. Remember this Club Penguin rule?

While yes, it’s sort of common sense not to reveal personal information, Facebook requires your real name to display everywhere. As a result, if you comment or like something on Club Penguin’s Facebook page, your name is out in the open. Sure, nobody will know it’s Randompeng123 if they just see a name like “Eric Brown” unless you actually say something on the page going “Add me on CP i’m Randompeng123″ but it’s just the fact that the risk is there and I have a problem with that. Another scenario would be if you have the same picture on your Twitter account as your Facebook account. Let’s say Randompeng123 had a Twitter account and their avatar was a brown penguin with the text “Random” over it. Then let’s say they also made their Twitter account avatar their Facebook account avatar, too. Someone from Twitter could recognise them on Facebook and have their real name that way too without them actually saying their penguin name on Facebook!

I can understand Club Penguin wanting to increase their social media reach as much as possible but I think it’s a bit much with the addition of a general Club Penguin page…I think the page just for parents is better. Of course it’s their own decision and also yours if you want to like it but I figured I’d highlight any possible risks since I know a lot of penguins are younger!

You can go ahead and like Club Penguin’s Facebook page if you have an account (you must be 13 or older) but if you do, I recommend you refrain from liking or commenting on their posts unless you understand the possible risks involved. Or do what I have done and set up a fake account under a fake name and comment under that one instead. :)

That’s my general thoughts on it anyway, what do you think about it? Yay or nay with this social media page?

Ninja has posted a sneak peek of the Team Ror room on the Club Penguin Blog. He didn’t say anything about it other than in the post title, where he said Ror will be victorious. You can also see him in his Ror Hoodie. Unlike the other sneak peeks, Ninja’s penguin name is normal size. In the top right corner it says “Features shown require a paid membership” once again, hidden from most eyes!

German Club Penguin Blogger Federflink1 is having another meetup this Wednesday! The theme of this Fun With Federflink meetup is monster costumes to go along with the Monsters University Takeover.

Here’s what Federflink said: (rough translation)

Imagine a monster-like, totally crazy costume together and find yourself a partner or companion, like Mike and Sulley, to practice the sneaking and scaring. We will meet on June 19th at 16:30 (4:30 PM) Central European Time on the server Iglu and meet at the snow forts. We can start there to scare everyone and dance the night away!

16:30/4:30 PM Central European Time is 3:30 PM in the UK, 10:30 AM EST, and 7:30 AM PST. As usual I will not be going because I’ll be asleep then. If you do go, have fun!

We haven’t heard much about Herbert since his failed Operation Hot Sauce but it looks like we’ll be hearing from the island’s unkind polar bear pretty soon! Polo Field tweeted the following message…

Today a new reviewed by you was posted to Club Penguin’s Blog. Last week was all about stamps, in which we were asked how many we have earned so far and which was the hardest. Here’s what Pantherxx12 said:

STAMPS ARE AWESOME!! Since they arrived in July 2010, I have earned 191! I met every mascot, and I got most of the game stamps. I of course am still working to earn more and more stamps, which makes it so awesome!!! :) So far, the hardest stamp I have earned was to throw a party with 30 penguins in my igloo. It took a lot of advertising, and even some bribing. LOL! It was so hard to get that stamp that it took me about 2 hours to get it done! But the fun party made it worth it!! Nachos anyone?

Yes, I’d love some nachos! :P
