On This Day In Club Penguin History – January 23

On the 23rd of January Club Penguin has updated in 2009, 2013, and 2014.

In 2009 that year’s Winter Fiesta began. The postcard catalogue was updated to add the Winter Fiesta postcard, too. At the 2009 Winter Fiesta there was one free item for players, the Mini Sombrero. It could be picked up at the Cove.

As for 2013, there was one update. The Ancient Tree furniture item was now available for members to get at that year’s Prehistoric Party.

The final year with updates on this day is 2014. The first update was a new pin being hidden, the Dino Snack Pin. It was hidden at the Beach. This pin is Club Penguin’s 267th pin overall and was the seventh pin to be hidden in that room.

Another update in 2014 was the Forest and Ski Hill rooms getting all new designs, the ones you see today. The Ski Hill’s original design lasted from the dawn of Club Penguin up until now, and the Forest’s design had lasted from May 2007 until this update.

Club Penguin’s biggest update in 2014, however, was not the room redesigns or a new pin. It was the beginning of the first party of the year, the Prehistoric Party. At the party players could use Gary’s Time Trekker 3000 to go back in time to save both Garugg the Ugg Ugg and Dinosaur Puffles, which members were able to adopt. A new login screen advertising the party was released, too.
