On This Day In Club Penguin History – July 19

Club Penguin has had updates in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2014. The updates on the 19th of July across these years ranges from new field ops to the start of a party.

The first update in 2010 was the release of the sixth field op mission. You had to go to the Recycling Center, a room that no longer exists. You had to complete the firewall mini-game in order to finish the mission.

The other update in 2010 was the Music Catalog being added to the Lighthouse. Previously this catalogue only showed up at the Music Jam parties.

On this day in 2011 the Beta Team had a big update. Puffle Hat Ideas, Rollerscape History, Rollerscape Extras Levels, and Skyscraper were all removed and eight new items were added. The new items were Laser Command, Solar System, Space Trader, Spin Maze, Ice Jam, Follow Me!, Yum Yum Yuck Yuck, and New Player Card Penguin Idea. It’s worth noting that the Laser Command  and Space Trader items were very buggy and did not work at all.

Just like in 2010, in 2012 there was also a new field op mission. It was the 91st field op mission. For the mission you had to go to the Lighthouse and break the code by scanning the symbols to find the correct combination.

Another small update in 2012 was the igloo music being updated. It was the first update to the track selection in many months. Tracks such as Party Starts Now and All-Access Pass were added.

The big update in 2012 was the beginning of the Make Your Mark: Ultimate Jam 2012 party. There was daily free items and challenges you could complete each day in order to collect more items. Rocky and CeCe from Disney Channel’s show ‘Shake It Up’ were waddling around, plus Cadence, who had a new giveaway background. The Penguin Band was meetable at this party too.

In 2014 you could now collect Violetta’s giveaway background at the Music Jam

  1. i remember the penguin band never came during the party just during the construction, i became dissapointed until 2 years later i got to meet them at the 2014 music jam

  2. Make your Mark Ultimate Jam, my first Music Jam party, what a memories, I will we do anything to back to that party

    • Same. Many people hate it for the sole fact Rocky and CeCe were meetable and it was somehow advertising Shake It Up, but this was one of my favorite parties. I loved the rooms’ design, items, music, everything. I really wish that CP does such a great Music Jam like the one in 2011 or 2012.

Now just imagine CP merging both parties. That’d be one of the greatest parties in CP History for sure.
