On This Day In Club Penguin History – April 18

On the 18th of April Club Penguin has updated in 2008, 2013, and 2014. In 2008 there was a new furniture catalogue, a new igloo catalogue, and new postcards. In 2013 there was a new pin and crystals appeared around the island. In 2014 new items were available at the Puffle Party.

The furniture catalogue had a wide assortment of plants and gardening items. The igloo catalogue brought the all new Phony Lawn igloo flooring and Backyard Igloo, which has not been available in-game since November 2009!

The new postcards released on this day in 2008 were “Meet Me For Tea” and the Stage.

In 2013 a new pin was hidden. The pin was the Robot Villain Pin. It is Club Penguin’s 242nd pin and was the eleventh pin to be hidden at the Lodge Attic. Also in 2013 crystals appeared on the island. The crystals, which led up to the 2013 Marvel Superhero Takeover, gave penguins super powers. The crystals began growing at the Forest, Snow Forts, Dock, and Beach. A research lab was set up at the Forest by Gary in order to study the crystals.

The final update on the 18th of April occurred in 2014. Two new items were available at the Puffle Party. If you went to the Town and clicked on the blue sign you’d get a popup to collect the Blue Border Collie Headband, and, if you were a member, also the Blue Border Collie Hoodie.

  2. There’s a top bar that spans across the play page that has a background of chat bubbles with emotes and the CP logo in the center. Is that new?
