On This Day In Club Penguin History – June 4

Updates on the 4th of June in Club Penguin’s past have taken place in 2007 and 2010. In 2007 the game Catchin’ Waves was released and in 2010 there was a new pin and the Penguin Style was updated for the month.

After the discovery of the Forest and Cove in May 2007, Catchin’ Waves was created and released on the 4th of June. Back when it was first released it did not have the survival mode. Instead, that was added at the end of the month, June 29th to be exact. Here is what Billybob had posted on the Club Penguin Blog:

Hello Penguins!

Hopefully most of you have had a chance to play the surfing game and we would love to know what you think! As usual, this idea came directly from you so thank you for the great idea and keep them coming!

Don’t forget, this Friday is the beginning of the Summer Party that will be celebrated by everyone all across Club Penguin. For those of you who were at last years party, you’ll remember it was one of the best! This party is also huge because we have several free items that will be given away throughout the week so make sure you tell your friends and keep checking in as the party continues!

In other news: To celebrate the new game and the big party, we launched some brand new items in the “Fun Stuff” part of the website. Click here to check them out! (side note by Trainman: the link is now different)

Until then…Waddle on!

As for 2010, the new pin was the Seashell Pin. It could be found at the Iceberg. This was the fourth pin to be hidden in this room. On the other hand the clothing catalogue featured a few new pages of adventure-y summer-y items.
